The Physical Therapist Assistant implements physical therapy directives by administering manual exercises and assisting patients with daily-living activities. They are responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and coordinating care plans with the supervising physical therapist.

Your Role as a PTA As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll collaborate closely with physical therapists to deliver high-quality care. From implementing tailored treatment plans to empowering patients through exercises and activities, you’ll ensure every patient feels supported and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient evaluations and implement treatment plans created by the Physical Therapist.
  • Support patient progress by guiding therapeutic activities and exercises.
  • Monitor and document patient responses, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to promote understanding and continuity of care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential records.
  • Contribute to discharge planning to help patients transition smoothly toward their goals.
  • Stay up to date with professional knowledge through continued learning opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate’s degree.

Holds and maintains a valid VA state PTA license.

Compensation Range for this position

$25.00 - $37.50

Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
