Provide integrative psychotherapy and expressive arts therapy to individuals and families within a primary care setting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and implement best practices in behavioral health.
Requires a Master's degree in a Mental Health discipline and a valid California license as an LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in biopsychosocial assessment and brief therapeutic interventions.
EDUCATION: Master's: Degree in a Mental Health discipline CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR LMFT-Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR PSY-Psychologist of California TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years of recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Biopsychosocial assessment and diagnosis across the lifespan Knowledge of behavioral health concerns related to chronic and life‑threatening illness Proficiency in evidence‑based, brief therapeutic interventions for integrated care (e.g., CBT‑informed, motivational interviewing) Ability to support health behavior change, stress management, and coping with grief and loss Strong collaboration skills within interdisciplinary healthcare teams Experience providing time‑limited, goal‑focused psychotherapy in medical settings Clinical risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning skills Ability to develop culturally responsive treatment plans aligned with medical care goals Required to have knowledge of the most recent Board of Behavioral Science requirements and adhere to them. This role will be based embedded in a primary care clinic, providing short-term, solution-focused behavioral health care in 3-5 sessions.
