The Flex Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) is an essential member of the oral health team who provides high-quality preventive and periodontal care across multiple Choptank Community Health System (CCHS) locations based on operational need. This temporary, flexible role supports CCHS clinics sites by providing a minimum of three (3) shifts per month and participating in a brief orientation and onboarding period.
The Flex Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) delivers comprehensive dental hygiene services—including dental prophylaxis, fluoride applications, dental sealants, periodontal therapy, digital radiography, and actively contributes to patient care planning. This role plays a key part in patient education, referral coordination, and supporting continuity of care between patients and providers. Flex Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) maintain equipment, adhere to safety and infection control protocols, and may provide care in different predetermined CCHS sites as needed. Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
This is a per diem position with a pay range of $60.00 - $65.00 per hour. The Flex Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) reports directly to the Dental Clinical Quality Director.
