The specialist is responsible for supervising resident care, managing medication compliance, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. They also lead didactic groups and coordinate recreational activities to support long-term recovery.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license, with an associate degree preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
