McKenney Home Care is a family-owned, private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. We are seeking licensed CNAs and experienced HHAs who are confident in their skills and committed to delivering high-quality care in a home setting.
This role is ideal for professionals who prefer one-on-one care over facility work and want to build meaningful relationships with their clients.
Flexible Scheduling We offer a variety of shift options to fit your availability, examples include: Morning shifts: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM Short or split shifts: 2–3 hours (AM or PM) Standard shifts: 4–6 hours Extended shifts: 7–12 hours (day or overnight) 12-hour day and overnight shifts are widely available Private duty schedules vary based on client needs, with opportunities for consistent, ongoing cases.
Key Responsibilities Provide skilled, one-on-one personal care in the client’s home Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics Provide care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive conditions Monitor and report changes in condition to the office and nursing team Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Provide medication reminders (no administration) Complete accurate and timely documentation Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care team
