Pediatric Phlebotomist

Description Hours

• Monday-
• Friday, 8:00AM- 5PM with 1-hour lunch
• Saturday, 8AM- 1:00PM twice a month

• We are seeking a full-time Lab Tech for our pediatric office in Downtown Decatur at 125 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA 30030.
• Lab Tech’s play a vital role at CMG.
• Lab Tech’s are responsible for securing quality samples while properly processing, accurately labeling and accessioning specimens into the electronic medical record and/or laboratory interface system.
• Performs phlebotomy according to stated procedure.
• Properly identify patient in accordance with HIPAA.
• Label specimens immediately after drawing.
• Process specimens as soon as possible.
• Assists with restocking laboratory supplies.
• Input patient demographics and test result information into record systems.
• Answer telephone in section and respond accordingly.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

Qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certified. Ability to Multi-task efficiently and effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Familiarity with computers and other office equipment. Basic typing and keyboard skills. Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
