Responsible for administering pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory treatments and implementing physician orders. The role involves monitoring patient responses, managing mechanical ventilation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Responsible for the administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitative, or diagnostic regime prescribed by a physician.
The transcription and implementation of the written or verbal orders of a physician pertaining to the practice of respiratory care.
Proper assessment, observation and monitoring of signs and symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to respiratory care treatments and diagnostic testing.
Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
Implement changes in treatment pursuant to the written or verbal orders of a physician.
The ability to assess and initiate emergency procedures.
Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Performs all other duties required.

Administers medications safely, following policies, and documents appropriately.
Cleans and sterilizes respiratory equipment and sets up treatments per physician orders.
Monitors mechanical ventilation and environmental systems Demonstrates strong judgment in crisis management and emergency care.
Actively contributes to process improvements and performs additional duties as needed
Education Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support (ACLS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Life Support (PALS)- American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Work Experience 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
Requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and a valid license from Florida or a Compact State. Candidates must have 2 years of experience and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
