Provide routine direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. Perform patient observations and report changes in condition while executing specific skills like phlebotomy.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and Basic Life Support certification. PA Nurse Aide Certification is required for those hired for the Transitional Sub-Acute Unit.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Incumbents perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient. The PCT performs observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse. The PCT performs specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent OR - GED - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education Required
