About the role

The RN is responsible for conducting initial and ongoing health assessments for clients in their homes to document medical history. They develop personalized plans of care for caregivers to follow based on individual client needs.

"Village Caregiving

Indianapolis is seeking an experienced and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse to join our exceptional home care team in the Indianapolis and surrounding Area. Village Caregiving is a non-medical home care agency that provides caregivers to assist clients with ADLs from the safety of their homes. The primary focus of the RN is to visit client's homes to document medical history and complete health assessments. The RN will assist with developing a personalized plan of care for our caregivers to follow based on each client's individual needs. This is a flexible position, and assessments can be completed during the day or evening hours, and weekends if preferred (as scheduled with clients). Pay is $50/hr, for per client assessment. Bonus offered for number of assessments completed

Responsibilities

  • Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one visits
  • Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psycho-social, and environmental needs of home health patients
  • Assess patients’ conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
  • Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures, and make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
  • Provide effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing
  • Current state license as an RN
  • Proof of current CPR certification
  • Compassionate, friendly demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN state license and CPR certification. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work a flexible schedule are required.
