About the role

Provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of GI conditions for a panel of patients. Collaborate within a team-based care model alongside other Nurse Practitioners and Gastroenterologists.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient Gastroenterology care to an established patient population
  • Independently manage a panel of new and established patients
  • Work alongside 6 other NPs and a group of 11 Gastroenterologists
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of GI conditions
  • Collaborate closely with Gastroenterologists and fellow Nurse Practitioners in a team based care model
  • Practice in an outpatient only setting with no inpatient responsibilities, procedures, or call
  • Once fully ramped, providers typically see approximately 14–16 patients per day with 30 min visits.
  • Schedule & Flexibility
  • Typical schedule of 4 ten-hour days
  • Full time defined as 36 patient contact hours per week
  • After successful onboarding, providers may have the option for one full day of virtual visits per week Practice Environment
  • Nurse Practitioners are fully integrated, supported members of the Gastroenterology care team, with active involvement in clinical decision making
  • Established outpatient Gastroenterology practice with strong referral demand
  • Highly collegial, collaborative culture that values mentorship and shared learning
  • Experienced physician group with a consistent, team oriented approach to care

New Nurse Practitioners receive structured onboarding, including mentorship and a gradual ramp up with experienced providers.

The practice is committed to supporting long term success and professional development, particularly for providers transitioning into Gastroenterology.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • Unrestricted Washington State license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • Active Washington State DEA license prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Nurse Practitioner experience strongly preferred
  • Gastroenterology experience highly valued
  • Epic EMR experience a plus The salary range for this role is $109,500 to $164,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with national certification (AANP or ANCC) and an unrestricted Washington State license and DEA. Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner and specific expertise in Gastroenterology are strongly preferred.
