Models Eskenazi Health valuesPerforms standard MRI procedures on designated sections of the body as required by physician ordersSelects proper exam factors/protocols for each MRI procedurePositions and instructs patients; utilizes protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as requiredAssumes responsibility for the care and safety of the patients undergoing MRI proceduresTransfers images from file to file/archiving systemPrimary imaging performed electronically on PACsPerforms routinely required paperwork, scheduling, assists Radiologists/managers as neededRestores images from PAC systemResponsible for the operations of the MRI injector and properly sets equipmentStarts an IV and administers IV /oral contrast mediaAlters activities to reflect/ensure adequate care appropriate to the age of patients served (i.e., adolescent, geriatric, pediatric, neonatal, adult) as described in the area/unit age-specific and/or job specific competenciesTrains and precepts students and/or new employees Must remain in compliance with all American College of Radiology, Indiana State Department of Health and The Joint Commission education, license and certification requirements. Job Requirements Minimum of one (1) year previous working experience in radiologic technology with emphasis on MRI.

• Demonstrates skills and knowledge acquired through graduation from a Radiologic Technology Program.
• Bachelor of Science degree with a MRI major strongly preferred.
• Must be ARRT (MR) or AMRIT certified which includes compliance with Professional CEU requirements.
• Licensed with the State of Indiana as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Maintains and shows proof of current CPR Certification.
