The Psychiatric Medical Assistant supports psychiatric providers by preparing patients, recording health history, and performing clinical tasks like injections and EKGs. They also coordinate care between internal and external teams and manage administrative duties including scheduling and insurance authorizations.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with at least one year of behavioral health experience. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
