Palliative Care Physician – Full-Time Missouri Baptist Medical Center | St. Louis, MO Missouri Baptist Medical Center, is seeking a full-time Palliative Care Physician to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals with serious illness, including symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, and care coordination across settings. The physician will work closely with hospitalists, specialists, and support staff to deliver high-quality palliative care in an inpatient setting, with strong support from an established hospice and home care network.

Overview

BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Manages the medical care of assigned patients. Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes. Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws. Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed. Minimum Requirements Education Doctorate
