Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive GI care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities
Provide gastroenterology consults for residents in skilled nursing facilities
Evaluate and manage GI conditions such as GERD, GI bleeding, liver disease, constipation, dysphagia, and inflammatory bowel disease
Conduct comprehensive GI-focused evaluations
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and stool studies
Manage medications and nutritional recommendations for GI conditions
Collaborate with gastroenterologists and facility providers to coordinate care
Educate patients and caregivers on diet, medication adherence, and symptom management
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
Active and unrestricted NP license
DEA license required
CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants)
Graduation from an accredited NP program
Preferred: Experience in GI (training available if not)
Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)
