Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Neurology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive Neurology care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide neurology consults for residents with neurological conditions
  • Evaluate and manage conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, seizures, neuropathy, dementia, and movement disorders
  • Perform neurological examinations and cognitive assessments
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging and lab studies
  • Manage neurologic medications and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with neurologists and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and caregivers about neurological conditions and treatment adherence
  • Maintain EMR documentation and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
  • Active and unrestricted NP license
  • DEA license required
  • CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants)
  • Graduation from an accredited NP program
  • Preferred: Experience in Neurology (training available if not)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)
