• Location: 577 East St. South, Suffield, CT 06029 Suffield Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to a small animal and exotic caseload. The ideal candidate is comfortable with canine and feline dentistry (exotics dental care a plus), performs routine and GP surgeries (no orthopedic or neurosurgery), and builds strong client relationships to support the human-animal bond. Exposure to reproductive cases is included, with interest in canine reproduction welcomed. Strong communication, dedication, and a “say yes to pets” attitude are key qualities. • Our last appointment of the day is at 5:00pm, with no expectation to stay late or be on call. Appointments are scheduled in 20 to 30-minute blocks. The role is 30 to 40 hours per week across 4 days, with a Saturday rotation.

• Thursday 7:30am to 6:00pm,
• Wednesday and
• Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm, and
• Saturday 8:00am to 1:00pm, with a daily scheduled lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. A 2.5-to-1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support—and respect—you need to be excellent for our patients. Currently, our team consists of 5 DVMs, 6 licensed technicians, 6 veterinary assistants, 6 CSRs, and 1 kennel attendant. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution. Valid veterinary license in the state of Connecticut About Suffield Veterinary Hospital Suffield Veterinary Hospital, founded in 1983, has grown into a modern, five-doctor practice with a dedicated team of 28 employees. We provide comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and small mammals, including rabbits, ferrets, and birds. Our state-of-the-art lab equipment allows us to offer in-house diagnostics, saving clients both time and money. We offer in-house IDEXX laboratory capabilities, digital dental and traditional X-Ray, and in-house ultrasound. We also have access to a variety of specialty clinics and ERs in our area, as well as a traveling specialist ultrasonographer for more complicated workups. While we excel in routine care for our patients, we have also established a special interest in canine reproduction, with clients coming from as far away as Pennsylvania to seek care.
