Accountable for counseling and case management of prenatal, medical, and metabolic genetic patients. Acts as a liaison between patients, providers, and agencies while providing psychosocial support and collaborating with Geneticists.
Requires a Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling and ABGC Board Certification. Preference is given to candidates with at least one year of experience in a medical genetics setting.
This position is accountable for counseling and case management of prenatal, medical genetic and metabolic genetic patients. Serves as a liaison between the patient, primary care provider, community agencies and the department, eliciting and providing medical and genetic information in collaboration with the Geneticist and provide psychosocial support. Works with Hospital leadership to ensure operational effectiveness and market development. Travel is required to satellite clinics.
