Who We’re Looking For Our exceptional team of licensed veterinary technicians are the heart of VERG. With our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) team they play a vital role in delivering life-saving care. They support our board-certified Criticalists, emergency clinicians, and specialists across all departments. As we grow, we’re seeking top-tier technicians who thrive under pressure and want to make a real impact. What You Can Expect To Do In this dynamic role, you’ll be on the front lines of veterinary medicine, supporting complex and urgent cases in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Radiology, and Neurology. You’ll help stabilize critical patients, perform advanced monitoring, support intensive care treatment plans, and ensure seamless patient care. This role offers the flexibility of a 3-day workweek, with shifts available from 8a–8p, 10a–10p, 12p–12a, or 2p–2a. This schedule supports comprehensive emergency coverage while providing our dedicated team with a four-day break each week.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidates are detail-oriented, quick-thinking, and possess strong clinical & communication skills. We’re especially interested in individuals with experience in intensive monitoring, emergency triage, ventilator support, post-op recovery of critical patients, and placing advanced lines (e.g., central venous catheters, arterial lines for invasive blood pressure, and CVPs). You should feel confident adapting to evolving patient needs, collaborating with multiple services, and educating intern doctors and peers on ECC protocols and best practices. Education/Experience Requirements Licensed or Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience, preferably with ECC or emergency experience in a specialty setting

Requirements

Must be a Licensed or Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) with at least 2 years of experience, preferably in an ECC specialty setting. Candidates should be proficient in advanced line placement and intensive monitoring of critical patients.
