About the role

The physician will provide medical oncology and hematology care, working collaboratively with the medical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. They will also manage both outpatient and inpatient volumes, including weekend and holiday call responsibilities.

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full time Board Eligible/Board Certified Medical Oncology & Hematology physician to join our team at Franciscan Physician Network Oncology & Hematology Specialists [https://www.franciscanhealth.org/healthcare-facilities/franciscan-physician-network-oncology-hematology-specialists-indianapolis-191] located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Physician will be joining a busy, robust established practice with strong ties to the community.

What we need

Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of care.

What you can expect

  • Clinic schedule: Monday –
  • Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Inpatient hospitalist rotation: 1:8
  • Weekend call: 1:8
  • Holiday call: 1:8
  • Anticipated outpatient volume for new provider: Gradually work up to 21 patients per day within two years

Qualifications

  • Doctorate - Required
  • Physician License (MD/DO) - Upon Hire Required – and -
  • Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
