Provide direct patient care in a primary care setting, performing most activities independently under clinical oversight. Ensure compliance with New Mexico regulations regarding supervising physician approval.
Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant program with a valid New Mexico license and DEA registration. Required certifications include BLS/CPR and potentially ACLS, along with Medicare and Medicaid numbers.
This is a professional position involving provision of direct patient care. Although most activities are performed independently, clinical oversight is required. In accordance with New Mexico regulation, 16.10.15.11, Approval of Supervising Physicians, the supervising physician must submit written notice of intent to supervise physician assistant on forms prescribed by the board and these forms must be approved prior to the physician assistant beginning employment.
