Description

• The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• These duties include but are not limited to: filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions, answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff.
• Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task.
• Estimated pay range for this position is $18.87 - $24.53 / hour depending on experience.

• Licenses &
• Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Additional
• Qualifications: One year pharmacy hospital technician experience (or equivalent experience) or graduate of the BHSF Pharmacy Technician Program. PTCB or ExCPT Certification preferred and required within the year for sterile compounding.
