Assists medical laboratory scientists by performing routine support duties, including sample accessioning, processing, and delivery. Responsible for obtaining blood specimens and ensuring accurate patient identification and documentation for quality assurance.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a mandatory phlebotomy certification. Previous experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant or in a clinical/hospital setting is required, with a preference for two years of in-patient phlebotomy experience.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Additional credit hours in biology and/or chemistry at an accredited institution are preferred.
Previous work experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant or equivalent experience in a clinical or hospital setting is required. Phlebotomy certification (required). Two years' experience as an In-patient Phlebotomist (preferred).
