JOB SUMMARY: The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including the administration of medications, including injections.
Engages clients and families to assess and diagnoses physical health status.
Formulates and implements an effective nursing care plan understanding psychiatric illness and its treatment as appropriate for Scope of Practice.
Demonstrates an understanding of age-related development and other issues for the population(s).

NEW GRADS WELCOME - Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required. Associate's degree, preferred.
Experience One (1) year service experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting, preferred. One (1) year medication administration experience, preferred.
License or Certification Valid California LVN or LPT license. Current CPR certification. First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.

Candidates must hold a valid California LVN or LPT license and current CPR and First Aid certifications. Graduation from an accredited vocational nursing or psychiatric technology school is required, with new graduates welcome.
