Responsible for assessing patients and developing, evaluating, and modifying plans of care within the Labor and Delivery unit. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered outcomes.
Requires a valid Maryland RN license, an Associate's degree (BSN preferred), and at least one year of RN experience. Must hold AHA BLS certification and meet unit-specific certifications including PALS, ACLS, and NRP.
1 year experience in RN Labor and Delivery Level IV PRN requires 108 minimum hours, Five 12-hour w/e shifts, one major holiday and one minor holiday. Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for the assessment of patients including the development, evaluation and modification of the plan of care. Provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team member, according to established standards. Interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their area of expertise. Role functions as members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway and plan of care. Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adult as identified in Performance Standards). Education & Experience 1. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing required. 2. Associate’s degree required. BSN preferred. 3. One (1) year previous RN experience required. 4. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required upon hire. 5. Must meet all unit-specific certification requirements (PALS, ACLS, NRP).

Ability to demonstrate versatility and willingness to work within the PRN RN Standardized Program as set forth in assigned Unit Based or Hospital Based commitment levels.
