Responsible for managing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile field. Duties include cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling equipment for various medical and surgical interventions.
Must be a graduate of an approved Surgical Tech program with certification preferred. Previous experience in multiple surgical specialties and strong communication skills are desired.
Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure Maintain the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure, and to be constantly vigilant in the maintenance of the sterile field Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assemble of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions Requirements: Graduate of an approved Surgical Tech program. Certification preferred Previous surgical tech experiences performing multiple different specialties preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, caring attitude and be a team player In addition, must be able to multi-task and triage items concurrently Schedule: 60 or 70 hours a pay period (Full-time Benefit Eligible) 10 hour shifts Mon-Fri from 6:30a to 5p On-call nights and weekends rotation The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department Spencer Hospital offers competitive wages, affordable insurance, IPERS retirement, in-house education, paid time off, family gym membership and so much more!
