Essential Functions Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care. Performs basic radiological examinations, including all quality controls/clerical duties. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results. Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated. Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self and others. Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Practice Manager or leader on duty. Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination. Conduct basic machine maintenance as necessary Ensures safety of all customers. Maintains reasonable regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions. Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment. Maintains well stocked and organized work areas. Provides patient transport.
Education/Training High School Diploma or equivalent and completed an accredited Basic X-ray Machine Operator educational program. Licensure/Certification Current Florida State License – Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMO). Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Basic X-ray Machine Operator program. Must hold a current Florida State License as a Basic X-ray Machine Operator and BLS certification.
