Provide intake, service navigation, and housing guidance to homeless or housing-insecure youth and young adults aged 12 to 24. Coordinate community referrals and maintain accurate client data within HMIS and CAP60 databases.
Requires an Associate degree in Human Services or a related field and two years of experience administering social services. A valid driver's license and a personal vehicle for local travel are mandatory.

This position works closely with homeless or housing insecure unaccompanied youth/young adults, ages 12 to 24, providing guidance to secure housing. This position will be part of the Youth Engagement Team focused on eliminating youth and young adult homelessness in Walla Walla County. The incumbent must comply with all program and Blue Mountain Action Council policies and procedures, and with the agency’s confidentiality agreement. This position provides homeless system navigation to homeless and housing insecure unaccompanied youth and young adults ages 12 to 24. This work will require collaboration and strong relationships with these young clients, offering housing and other stabilizing services to youth. This position requires accurate and prompt data input into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and BMAC’s internal database CAP60.
Education & Experience Relevant experience and/or education may be substituted for either education or work history. Associates degree in Human Services or related field. Two (2) years related work experience administering social services. Bilingual/Bicultural – English/Spanish – is preferred.
Experience working with youth and young adults facing difficult life experiences. Case management experience in social service setting, and a working knowledge of issues and resources related to housing services for low-income families and individuals. Experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ populations.
Certifications Valid driver’s license by the time of hire with good driving record. Must provide own vehicle for travel and must maintain current auto insurance. Mileage will be reimbursed according to the current IRS mileage rate.
Work primarily takes place in an office environment, community agencies, and outdoors as needed. Will require local travel, occasional regional travel. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
