The MRI Technologist is responsible for direct patient care activities and clerical duties within the Radiology Department. Key tasks include managing patient flow, greeting patients, and escorting them to and from imaging areas.

Description

Position Purpose

MRI Technologist, PRN - in the Radiology Department at St Mary's Hospital.

What you will do

Under the direction of the technical supervisor/team leader, the imaging assistant is responsible for direct patient care activities and clerical duties as assigned by MRI.

direct patient flow through the department,

greet and escort/transport patients within the imaging department and back to the patient room or Emergency Department.

What you will need

Licensure/Certification/Registration: registered or registry eligible with ARRT (MR)

Must have current BLS thru American Heart Association.

Education: Graduate of formal Radiographic technology training in an AMA-Approved school.

Experience: One year experience in hospital environment preferred and to demonstrate Radiological technology competence

Requirements

Candidates must be ARRT (MR) registered or eligible and hold a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. A degree from an AMA-approved radiographic technology program is required, with one year of hospital experience preferred.
