The OB Technologist will scrub for surgical procedures for C-Sections and provide personal care and comfort to patients in the Delivery Room. Additional responsibilities include restocking supplies, cleaning and preparing rooms, transporting patients, and supporting the healthcare team.
Successful completion of a surgical technologist program is required, along with certification depending on the date of training. Previous experience as a surgical tech or Patient Care Technician is preferred.

Experience: Previous surgical tech or Patient Care Technician experience preferred
Successful completion of a surgical technologist program sponsored by an entity holding nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation, or through the US Army, Navy, or Air Force.
1. Certification preferred, if surgical technician training occurred on or before 12/29/2020 and candidate practiced clinically at any time during the two preceding years. 2. Certification required if surgical training took place on or after 12/29/2020 3. MLH may employ or contract an ST who does not meet the requirements above (from section 501HB81) to practice surgical technology if: (1) after a diligent and thorough effort has been made, the facility is unable to employ or contract with a sufficient number of qualified STs who meet the requirements of section 501; and (2) the health care facility makes a written record of its efforts under (1) and retains the record at the facility.
This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.
