Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department and regulatory protocols. Responsible for processing images to PACS and acting as the primary interface for customer imaging needs.
Requires ARRT and Texas Medical Board certification or equivalent clinical student status. BLS certification is required, and at least one year of experience is preferred.
Performs Diagnostic Radiographic procedures according to department protocols, TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations. Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/QC activities. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS. CT experience a plus. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. ARRT and Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist certification or second semester clinical radiology student of a JCERT approved radiology program who has completed all diagnostic radiology procedure/patient care competencies. 2. Able to perform fluoro portables, surgery, ED and routines as needed. 3. Must be familiar with state and federal regulations. 4. BLS required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire and kept current. 5. At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
