Transition into a hospice and palliative care specialty through an intensive residency program. Coordinate all aspects of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team to maximize comfort for patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Fall Cohort will start August 31, 2026 Locations throughout our Territory The Care Dimensions Nurse Residency Program designed to support experienced nurses who would like to make the transition to a meaningful and exciting career in hospice and palliative care.

Our program focuses on creating a collaborative professional development environment where experienced nurses can further develop their critical thinking and nursing skills within the hospice specialty, while working with our patients in a variety of settings including home care.

An experienced team of clinical educators, dedicated preceptor(s), and experienced clinicians will support your growth within the specialty of hospice nursing.

You’ll form meaningful relationships with your peers, as you share new experiences together.

Our Nurse Residency program is a paid, full-time, intensive orientation program followed by a nurse residency period (total of three months) that serves as a bridge between past nursing roles you’ve had and hospice, providing you a smoother transition into a professional specialty nursing role.

Nurse residents will be employed at Care Dimensions during the residency and with successful completion of the residency, begin a full-time position as an RN Case Manager, RN float, or LPN float.

At the end of the residency program, the Resident will become an active member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), and work under the supervision of a Clinical Manager and in collaboration with the attending physician and other IDT members to coordinate all aspects of the patient’s care in accordance with current professional standards and practice to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families facing a life-limiting illness.

Following the Residency, a commitment to work full-time for one year is expected for all nurse residents.

You will increase confidence in your clinical skills and judgment and enhance your critical thinking, and so much more—all in a safe, nurturing, team-oriented environment.

You will be prepared to provide meaningful care to patients and families at this important and vulnerable time of their lives.

Interview Process: Phone Screen In-Person Interviews on a rolling basis Ride-along for half a day / dates to be determined You can expect: The Fall Residency cohort will formally start on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Ongoing, one-on-one support from an RN clinical manager, educational team, instructor, and preceptor The opportunity to learn and practice complex skills On-the-job training, in-classroom learning, and simulation lab training.
