We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PRN – Day Shift) to join our Rehab Services team. Position: Physical Therapist Department: Rehab Services Schedule: PRN | Day Shift (Monday–Friday, hours vary) Compensation: Based on experience Travel Required: None Supervisory Responsibilities: Some oversight of PTAs, aides, and support staff Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans Administer therapeutic interventions to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals, recovery expectations, and home exercises Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), rehab aides, and support staff Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure timely charge entry Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care Participate in quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and staff education activities
Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Current North Carolina Physical Therapist license Current CPR certification Preferred: Experience in pediatrics and/or neurology Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment Why Join Ashe Memorial Hospital?
