The technician is responsible for monitoring patient heart rates and rhythms and communicating ECG changes to the appropriate departments. They must maintain telemetry equipment and ensure high-quality unit operations through accurate data logging and reporting.
A high school diploma and BLS certification from the American Heart Association are required. Proficiency in Windows applications and the ability to interpret basic ECG strips are essential for success in this role.
