The Certified Medical Assistant provides basic medical assistance to physicians and nurses, including patient preparation and vital signs monitoring. They also assist with procedures and lab sample collection while utilizing department-specific computer systems.
Under general supervision and according to established procedures, provides basic medical assistance to physicians/providers and nurses by providing basic preparation of patients according to area specific Policy and Procedures including but not limited to vital signs, chart preparation, phlebotomy, procedure assistance and lab sample collection. Utilizes department specific computer systems for entry and retrieval of patient data.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
St. Joseph’s Health officially opened the Totowa Health Campus during a special ceremony that included a ribbon cutting and a blessing by the Most Reverend Kevin Sweeney, Bishop of the Diocese of Paterson. More than 100 people attended the event, including Congressman Bill Pascrell, 9th District of New Jersey; John Coiro, Mayor of Totowa; and Senator Kristen Corrado, of New Jersey’s 40th Legislative District.
The new campus, located at 225 Minnisink Road in Totowa, is a 140,000-square-foot facility that integrates a comprehensive listing of outpatient services, including primary and urgent care, diagnostic imaging including MRI and CT, Radiology, Lab Services and Pharmacy all under one roof. A host of medical and surgical physician offices are located on the campus, including cardiology, urology and gynecology, along with specialty Centers including Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy. This fall, the health campus will also be the new home of a Comprehensive Cancer Center opening in October.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current certification or registration from an accredited institution is required, and bilingual skills are preferred.
