The nurse will perform comprehensive wound assessments and provide treatment for acute, chronic, and complex wounds in an outpatient setting. They are responsible for developing individualized care plans and educating patients and caregivers on healing strategies.
Candidates must be a licensed RN or LPN in Maryland with at least three years of medical/surgical nursing experience. An ASN is required, while a BSN is preferred for Registered Nurses.

Meritus Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Wound Care team. This role supports outpatient wound care services, providing comprehensive assessment, treatment, and management of complex wounds.
The Wound Care Nurse plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the organization’s wound care needs while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Qualifications: Education – Graduation from an approved nursing program (ASN required, BSN preferred for RNs)
Experience – Minimum of three years of experience providing medical/surgical nursing care; experience in advanced wound care diagnoses, treatment methods and supplies
Licensure/Certification – Current license to practice in the State of Maryland as an RN or LPN.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Effective communication and interpersonal skills; critical thinking and problem solving, effective time management, flexibility in work environment, intermediate computer/keyboard skills, ability to assume responsibilities beyond patient care, Possess the ability to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s/department’s policies and procedures.
