Manage and coordinate all aspects of care for liver transplant patients from initial evaluation through post-operative recovery. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient education, schedule procedures, and advocate for patient needs.
Requires a BSN, a valid Nebraska or compact RN license, BLS certification, and at least three years of nursing experience with complex patients. Prior experience in solid organ transplant or cardiology/pulmonary ICU is preferred.

Provide and promote the delivery of 24/7 transitional quality patient care for a designated group of patients through role modeling, displaying excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice, and acting as educator for the transplant patient population. Provide a continuum of care and education for pre and post-transplant patients and their families (living donor or recipient) and serve as a patient advocate in the healthcare system and community. Required Qualifications: Minimum of three years nursing experience or other direct patient care experience working with complex patients required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format required. Ability to work independently and within a multidisplinary team, using good judgment and assessment skills required. Ability to demonstrate competent leadership and teaching ability required. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later). Willingness to travel required.
Prior solid organ transplant experience preferred. Prior cardiology experience (ICU, CCU, or equivalent) preferred. Based on position, prior pulmonary experience (ICU, CF, PH or equivalent) preferred. Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
