The nuclear medicine technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures and performs laboratory tests. They also maintain equipment, ensure radiation safety, and assist physicians in patient care.
Candidates must be high school graduates and complete an AMA-approved program, along with being a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Experience as a graduate of an approved AMA program is also required.

The nuclear medicine technologist uses radioactive materials in specialized studies of body organs and/or laboratory analysis to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disease and injury. Education, License & Cert: High school graduate and graduation from an American Medical Association approved program. Must be registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist meeting the requirements of ARRT and NYS.
