Assists the rehabilitation team with patient care, mobility, and treatment under the supervision of licensed clinicians. Manages patient flow, monitors vital signs, and organizes departmental materials and equipment.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification. Prior experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nurse-Aide, or exercise specialist is preferred but not required.
Overview Functions under the direct supervision of the physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, certified occupational therapist assistant, Speech Language Pathologist, nurse or wound care clinician assisting the team with rehabilitation treatment, mobility and patient care according to hospital, state, professional and federal regulations and guidelines. Responsible for the patient flow, vital signs, and materials/equipment organization within the department; and supports an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by helping to provide safe, patient-centered care.
