Administer radioactive materials and operate PET and CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Ensure patient safety and maintain clinical standards while collaborating with the imaging center team.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with current ARRT-N or CNMT certification. Requires state licensure and up to 5 years of experience as a PET/CT Technologist.
Description We are looking for a PRN PET/CT tech in our Center City Philadelphia location to help cover PTO days during the week and weekends. The shifts and hours vary by day. We also pay for our employees parking.
EXPERIENCE: Up to 5 years experience as a PET/CT Technologist EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist as an ARRT-N or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board as a CNMT. Must maintain a current valid registration from either ARRT or CNMT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Skill in operation of PET/CT equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment. Ability to work independently and multitask. Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology. LANGUAGE SKILLS/REASONING ABILITY Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to successfully write reports, business correspondence, and policy. Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors, and the general public. Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and correct errors. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables. COMPUTER LITERACY Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
