The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. Additionally, the pathologist provides aural rehabilitation and implements AAC systems for patients with severe communication disorders.
Candidates must hold a current state license to practice speech pathology, a CCC-SLP certification from a CAA-accredited program, and CPR certification. One or more years of experience in speech pathology is preferred.
Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults. Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties as assigned.
