Research Technologist - Zadeh - Limited Tenure

• Sets up and performs routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals, grant commitments, i.e. assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies, etc.
• Monitors results, reports unusual outcomes and suggests modifications.
• Collects, enters and summarizes data.
• Assists in the maintenance of lab equipment and supplies.
• Performs basic statistical data analysis; prepares tables/charts/graphs and assists in organizing data.
• Presents at research laboratory meetings and contributes to writing of manuscripts.
• Works under supervision and may perform some assignments independently as discussed and approved by Principal Investigator.

Additional Information

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technologist to join our translational neuro-oncology research team. Our lab focuses on glioblastoma and peripheral nerve sheath tumors, with a strong emphasis on tumor microenvironment biology, spatial and single-cell transcriptomics, hypoxia signaling, and molecular biomarker discovery.

The successful candidate will support ongoing projects by performing established and emerging laboratory techniques, including but not limited to:

Molecular biology assays (PCR, Western blotting, RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR) Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence staining on FFPE and frozen tissues Human and murine cell culture (including primary tumor-derived lines) Fluorescence and brightfield microscopy, image acquisition, and analysis Mouse handling and tissue processing (training provided if needed) Sample preparation for spatial transcriptomics, single-cell analysis, and next-generation sequencing Data entry and assistance with manuscript and figure preparation Organization of lab inventory, reagents, and general lab maintenance The Research Technologist will present data in lab meetings, assist with experimental planning, and collaborate closely with senior lab members and trainees. The candidate will be expected to work independently on routine procedures and receive mentorship for more complex tasks.
