📍 Odessa, FL 🕐 Full-Time Schedule | Rotating Weekend Availability Needed 💲 Compensation: $17–$23/hour based on experience

A busy companion animal hospital in the Odessa/Tampa area is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative and patient-focused team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, values strong team communication, and wants to grow within a supportive clinical environment.

  • Key responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians during appointments, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures
  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Obtain radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging
  • Prepare patients for surgery and monitor recovery
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding patient care and discharge instructions
  • Help maintain efficient workflow throughout the hospital

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role
  • Comfortable with blood draws, catheter placement, surgical support, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Ability to work rotating Saturday shifts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
