  • Positions: JOB SUMMARY Performs technical procedures and functions for electro diagnostics. Observes cardiac monitors and identifies, calculates, interprets, and communicates information regarding cardiac rhythms. Applies and discontinues telemetry services as instructed. Enters edits, and other paperwork as applicable to the department.

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.

  • Required: Medical terminology and CPR-basic. Ability to operate electronic and computer-based equipment. Ability to recognize technical inferior EKG and take corrective action as appropriate. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of cardiac monitor interpretation, skills, and abilities. Must practice appropriate communication skills and sensitivity to patient's needs. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age, principles of growth and development over the life span and to accommodate cultural diversity among the patients being served. Must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient's status, to identify each patient's population specific or behavioral needs and provide the care as needed. Must be able to effectively teach others on cardiac rhythms. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • On call responsibilities as directed: Yes Ability to travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out of town as needed: No The base compensation range for this role is $16.08 - $23.39 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or GED along with proficiency in medical terminology and CPR-basic. Candidates must be able to interpret cardiac monitors and handle physical demands including lifting up to 100 lbs with equipment.
