The Certified Surgical Tech assists surgeons during invasive procedures by preparing the operating suite and managing surgical instruments. They are responsible for maintaining sterile environments, performing accurate counts of supplies, and providing age-specific patient care.
Candidates should preferably have a high school diploma and one year of operating room experience. A Surgical Tech Certification and BLS certification are required within specific timeframes following the hire date.
