Location

Worcester, MA- Travel as needed to various sites in region for coverage.

Hours

  • Full Time. Monday - Friday. 8 hour shifts vary between 7:00
  • AM - 5:00

  • Specialty: OB/GYN Positions in this function performs a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the standards of the practice. Assist in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressures, temperatures, height, weight, etc. Assist physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc. Prepare treatment rooms. Perform a variety of clerical functions to support office functions. Perform related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information. This position performs a full range of medical support services while ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

  • Responsibilities: Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs Document patient care using electronic medical record software Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle patient specimen samples Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications

Technical certification or 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a Medical Assistant after on-the-job training OR current enrollment in an accredited Medical Assistant program OR EMT certification Experience working as a Medical Assistant or EMT

Preferred Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA and CMAC) Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) Certification or completed within 90 days of date of hire Experience with electronic medical records software (EPIC) Experience performing medical back-office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medications Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Requirements
