Administer general anesthetics to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and medical procedures while monitoring vital signs to ensure physiological stability. Supervise student nurse anesthetists and maintain detailed records of all anesthetic administrations.
Requires a graduate degree from an accredited MSN, DNP, or DNAP CRNA program and current RN licensure recognized by NCBON. Eligibility for AANA certification is required for new graduates.
Distributed in $10,000 increments every six months for 36 months
$15,000 annual stipend is currently being offered to all 1.0 FTE CRNAs working in a hospital setting for each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30), prorated and paid out monthly based on FTE status. $2500 annual CME allowance for 1.0 FTEs, prorated for those working less $8,000 relocation budget available for CRNAs that move 50 miles or more to live near Duke Facility. Job Eligibility Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited MSN or DNP or DNAP CNRA program
CRNA Eligibility for certification by the AANA as a certified Nurse Anesthetist is required for new grads.
Licensure: Current RN licensure issued by or recognized by NCBON with approval to practice as a CRNA
Experience: New grads welcome to apply, no experience required beyond CRNA education and training
