The Counselor is responsible for conducting patient intakes, assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans to support recovery from substance use disorders. They provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based techniques while monitoring high-risk conditions and coordinating care with medical staff.
Candidates must possess at least an associate degree in a relevant field and hold the necessary state certifications or licenses to provide counseling services. Depending on the tier, requirements range from basic registration to a master's degree or professional licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
