About the role

The Registered Nurse evaluates and manages patient needs, plans care based on physician protocols, and performs triage. They are responsible for administering medications, responding to emergencies, and providing patient and family education.

Description Summary/Objective

The ideal candidate for a Registered Nurse Position should be currently licensed with the state of Florida and have at least one year of comprehensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Essential Functions Evaluates and manages patient needs. Plans patient care utilizing physician protocol and professional judgment. Notifies physician of patients’ status based on urgency. Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage. Administers medications, including injections and IV’s; documents medications given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate. Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction. Demonstrates awareness of self-responsibility and accountability for own professional practice. Practices nursing skills in accordance with licensure and Clinic P+P. Exercises good judgment in decision making to ensure quality patient care outcomes. Assists with the flow of patients and assists the physician with medical procedures as needed.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience: Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse. One or more years of comprehensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Active BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications. Preferred Education and Experience: BSN degree preferred.
