Provide companionship and personal care assistance to adults with mental illness to help them maintain independent daily living skills. Responsibilities include meal preparation, medication administration under nurse guidance, and transporting clients to treatment services.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Previous caregiving or mental health experience is preferred, along with the ability to pass a criminal background check and perform physical tasks up to 40 pounds.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs towards applicable mental health certifications, while attending your required, paid training, and receiving qualified clinical supervision gaining on-the-job experience.
$20.60 - $21.86 per hour DOE/Credentials.
Additional 5% Language Differential offered for Bilingual or Multilingual candidates.
About the Program
Fairview Firs is a co-ed, 5-bed program serving adults living with a mental illness. The program includes an ADA-accessible unit and each resident has a private bedroom. There are community areas, kitchen/dining room areas, enclosed outdoor areas for residents to enjoy. Fairview Firs is a beautiful older home located in a grove of old growth timber on a large lot filled with lush landscaping.

Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
This position requires the ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, as well as lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. It may require the ability to occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable. In addition, you must successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques and may require an individual to lift and transfer clients.
