The Nurse Tech is responsible for assisting the delivery of basic nursing care under the direction and general supervision of a Registered Nurse. In complex patient situations the intern will work under the direct supervision of an RN. The Nurse Tech will not perform any procedure that requires licensing by the State (i.e. passing medications, nursing diagnosis, or admission assessment). Standards must comply with the State Nurse Practice Act.
Must be a Junior or Senior in a nursing program.
BLS required
Must be a Junior or Senior student currently enrolled in a nursing program. BLS certification is required.
